too little O2 in blood, but no symptoms yet
compensatory stage - stage 2- what 3 symptoms?
tachycardia, tachypnea, SNS turns on, and RAAS system starts
progressive stage - stage 3- main symptom?
cold and clammy skin - NOT LOW 02 or tachycardia
hemmoragic shock is

septic shock - what happens
cytokine release causes massive dilation and leaking from capillaries
septic shock - main symptoms
low BP, cool clammy skin, delayed cap refill. confusion and disoriented. High WBC, temp high in the beginning, then low.
neurogenic shock
T5 or higher
SNS does what?
speeds up nervous system and causes vasoconstriction
neurogenic shock - PNS
only the parasympathetic is working, which puts the brakes on nervous system and causes vasodilation
neurogenic shock - symptoms
bradycardia (parasympathetic), low BP, skin warm pink and dry (bc blood pools)
neurogenic shock leads to decreased
CO
neurogenic shock - treatment
normal saline .9%
hypovolemic shock - symptoms
hypotension, tachycardia, low central venous pressure - less than 2 and your client is through

progressive
