A

Assist with implementation of a defined plan of care
Gathers data to contribute to assessment and reports finding to RN
Care for physiologically stable patients with predictable outcomes
Has knowledge of sepsis and dressing changes, therefore can perform routine trach care and dressing changes
Administer PO, SQ, and IM medications

No patients that are: fresh post-ops, unstable, newly admitted, need for education, d/c teaching

must be held 1-2 days before IV contrast and 2 days after as it can cause kidney damage

CAN’T GIVE TABLE SUGAR AS IT DERIVES FROM CARBS; MUST USE GLUCOSE TABS OR MILK (sugar from lactose)
