  1. Extends from subclavian artery till C6 foramen transversarium
  2. Lies in inverted V-shaped space medial to scalenus anterior (vertebral triangle)
  3. It lies between
    - In front: inferior thyroid artery and carotid sheath
    - Behind: inferior cervical sympathetic ganglion C7 and C8 nerves
