Q

Optic vesicle elongates

A
  1. Proximal part: remains narrow to form optic stalk
  2. Distal blind end: expands and comes in contact with surface ectoderm, it becomes invaginated and converted into optic cup which consists of two layers: outer and inner separated by intraretinal space

Q

Optic cup edge

A

Deficient ventrally and this deficiency extends along ventral aspect of optic stalk form groove (choroidal fissure) inside which hyaline artery runs forwards as far as optic cup concavity to end in fetal lens
