At jugular foramen as sigmoid sinus continuation (right is usually larger than left)

Descends inside carotid sheath lateral to ICA, CCA, and vagus nerve

A
Behind medial end clavicle by joining subclavian vein forming brachiocephalic vein

- Superior bulb vein
- Inferior bulb vein
At upper and lower ends
Superior bulb is fixed to jugular foramen margins

Line between sternoclavicular joint and point between mastoid process and mandible angle (same surface marking of CCA, ICA, and carotid sheath)
