What is the process?

A

Cold immersion- heat immersion- cold immersionn
repeat cycle for 15/20 minutes
7-15 degress of cold awater and 35 degress of hot water
always finish cold

When is it used?

A

Acute injuries-mid/late stage after edema/swelling stopped
(2-5 days_) repetivie strain injuries, shin splints, tennis elbow
after exercise to decrease symptons of doms exercise and increases relaxtion

What are the risks?

A

Shouldnt be used too early in acute stage
cold therapy is more effective
never use on red area as it increases swelling
