Gradual increase in leisure time and money, lead to greater opportunity, participation

What was time and money like at the beginning?
A
Upper and middle had more leisure time than working class. Most by the year 2000 due to changes of working house end of 20th- 45 hours (working class had ore time) Pubs were focal point for working class, water polo in publicc baths, pigeon racing from allotments, ring toss.

What was it like at the end of the 20th century?
A
More time and money for the working class, still issues of economic depression and recession lead to unemployment and poverty. Some actives were unaffordable.
Municipal facilities for working class/ private clubs for middle and upper, independent schools. fitness meant people joining gyms
