What is method 1 of storing glycogen for 7 days?

A

Body eats little or no carbs and goes into super compensation mode for first 3/4 days and maximising training. Then towards the end of the week the body will be forced to store glycogen after eating loads of carbs, this mean the body is now field with glycogen

What is the advantage of method 1- 7 days?

A

The bod is forced to store more glycogen and carbohydrates meaning that the body will provide more energy, it is 7 days

A

Lasts for 7 days, need to up water retention to store glyocgen
performer will feel fatigued

What is method 2- the day before?

A

The storage of glycogen before the day of event, performer will do 3 minute high intensity workout which opens up a car window for 20 minutes. within this 20 minutes window, the performer needs to eat as many carbs and store it as long as water retention is up, this stores the glycogen.

What are the advantages of method 2- day before?

A

Only the day before
performer won’t be using their protein intake and muscles
not a lot of intense exercise

A

The performer will feel bloated through water retention, only opens up carb window for 20 minutes so not sure how much carbs can be consumed within the 20 minutes
