notational analysis
punish low motivation- low effort
drive reduction theory- when a goal has been achieved must set other goals
What is stainers model?
actual productivity of the team= potential productivity (groups quality)- loses due to faulty processes (mistakes)
the faulty processes are known as the ringelmann effect
What is the ringelmann effect?
Known as the ringelmann effect; co-oridnation loses poor tactics technical loses larger teams complex skills- the more decision making more likely to occur
What is a group?

How can we eliminate the ringelmann effect?
team and individual goals
want to practice like the competition
develop teams within teams- set plays in rugby scrummage team
over learn set plays- short corners in hockey
select teams based on cohesiveness
might use video playback- coorindaiton issues
reinforce success
