What is linear motion?
A body/part of a body moves in a straight or curved line with all its parts moving in the same distance, direction. dddv
How is linear motion created?
the line of application passes directly though rh centre of mass- direct force.
What is distance?
The length of the path
What is displacement?
The shortest line from start to finish
What is speed?
The rate of change in distance; m/s
What is velocity?
The rate of change of displacement; m/s 2
What is the acceleration?
Rate of change in veclotity m/s 2
How do you calculate speed?
Speed= distance divided by time
How do you calculate velocity?
Displacement divided by time
How do you calculate acceleration?
change in velocity divided by time= final velocity- initial velocity divided by time taken.
