What is deviance?
Behaviour that differs from the norms/values of a sport ‘win at all costs’ normally high level
What is violence?
Physical force with the intention of harming another individual
What is gambling in sport?
Match fixed/illegal- predetermined result
What are drugs/doping?
Substances used to imprve/change human performance- not all illegal in society
What Is the agency used in sport to decide whether drugs are illegal?
The world anti doping agency, illegal drugs banned

Performance enhancing drugs

Enthyroprotein human growth hormone anabolic steroids beta blockers diruetics blood doping
What are dieretics?
Increase rapid wight loss, remove alll water and try and mask drug taking used to flush out of system
What are beta blockers?
try and control heart rate which are used in fine motor skills to remain calm, steady nerves

Increases muscle strength

used to increase muscle mass increases agression, used for power and recovery and repair

Good fro replenishment of atp/pc system

lower participation- parents won’t let kids take part due to reputation/negative image

Reputation- lose career
pnsihement- lead to bans, being fined loss of medals
improves performance- improves strength and endurance but increases change of winning and unfairness
psycholoigca- increases aggression, mood swings, depression, affects mental health
