A

What is the acute stage f a sprain?

A

Saltaps/ medical attention (2nd, 3rd degree)
price and nsaids to decrease swelling, bleeding and pain
immbolise/suport using a splint/cast/air walking boot to prevent movemnt
mobilisation for 3rd degree (may need surgery)
strap and race

What is the sub acute stage?

A

Physiotherapy for soft tissue repair and massage
exercise- gradual increase in strength, strectching/mobility/balance exercises to strengthen the its muscles around join to increase range of motion and mobility

What is the full rehabilitation stage?

A

Heat=/cold contrast therapies
gradual return to exercise (injury free)
functional and increase in intensity of strength development to full activity full functioning
surgery- 3rd degree ruptures/detacheemtns likely to re-attach and replace tendons
return to dynamic after full activity
