What do parotid glands do?
Produce watery saliva containing enzymes
Where is the submandibular glands?
In the middle of the mandible
What are the submandibular glands?
They are ducts that secrete on either side of lingual frenulum
What do the submandibular glands contain?
Enzyme and mucous producing substances
Where are the sublingual glands located?
Anterior to submandibular glands
What are the sublingual glands?
They are ducts that secrete into the floor of the mouth
What is the function of the sublingual glands?
They produce a mucus type of saliva
