एकतमस्य क्रियमाणस्य (?)
एकतमस्य क्रियमाणस्य (?)
\
MAYBE EMEND TO अस्य क्रियमाणस्य = GEN. ABS. = ‘while this kind of thing is going on, with this being done, while this is happening’ (?) NO. THAT WOULD BE JUST PLAIN STUPID.
\
BUT एकतमस्य क्रियमाणस्य IN THE GENITIVE MAKES NO SENSE HERE AND SHOULD BE EMENDED TO NOM. SG. N. एकतमं कार्यम् / कर्तव्यम् TO AGREE WITH किं . THIS IS HOW JHA TRANSLATES IT EVEN THOUGH HIS TEXT IS THE SAME AS B&K HERE. IT LOOKS LIKE THIS PHRASE GOT ATTRACTED INTO THE GEN BY THE PRECEDING LONG PARTITIVE GENITIVE COMPOUND.
\
SEE HERTEL P. 174.21-22 (WHICH AT LEAST MAKES SENSE): तत् किम् अत्र युज्यते संधिविग्रहयानासनसंश्रयद्वैधीभावानां मध्यात् ।
