General overview
[337.01] Section 337 provides that any person who gives or offers any member or creditor of a company any valuable consideration in order to secure his appointment or nomination as a liquidator or to prevent another’s appointment or nomination as the company’s liquidator shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months.
