General overview
[175.01] Every company shall hold a general meeting called the annual general meeting or “AGM” once in every calendar year and not more than 15 months, subject to extension of time by the registrar under subsection (2), after the last preceding AGM. However, if the company had held its first AGM within 18 months of its incorporation, it need not hold the next AGM in the year of its incorporation or in the following year. The AGM may be held any time, subject to notice being given to members, and may resolve that any meeting held be designated the AGM.
