General overview
[182.01] This section empowers the court to order a meeting to be held in such manner as it thinks fit, where it is impracticable to call a meeting of the company. Section 182 may be invoked by the application of any director, or member who is entitled to vote or personal representative of such member, or on its own motion. The section applies to a general meeting only, not a directors’ meeting: Tay Say Geok v Tay Ek Seng Co Sdn Bhd [1974] 1 MLJ 70, FC.
