205D. Registrar may require company exempt from audit requirements to lodge audited financial statements

A

General overview
[205D.01] Section 205D provides that if the registrar is satisfied that there has been a breach of any provision of s 199 or 201, or that it is in the public interest to do so, he may by notice in writing to a dormant or small company, require that company to lodge with him audited financial statements and an auditor’s report (s 207) in relation to those accounts. In case no auditor has been appointed by the company, the registrar can direct the directors of the company to appoint an auditor accordingly.
