[144.01] For the protection of the public dealing with a company, it is important that the name and registration number of the company be legibly displayed on romanised letters on the company’s seal, if any, business letters, statements of accounts, invoices, letters of credit or any document that is issued or purporting to be issued on behalf of the company.

[144.02] Section 144(2) provides that any officer of the company or any person on its behalf who contravenes this section shall be guilty of an offence, shall be personally liable to the holder of the instrument or order for the amount due thereon unless it is paid by the company.
