General overview
[289.01] This section provides that the powers conferred on the court under this Act shall be in addition to and not in derogation of the existing powers to institute proceedings against any contributory or creditor and their estate in respect of any calls or debts or other sums. An appeal from any decision of the court in respect of winding up proceedings shall lie in the normal way as in cases within its ordinary jurisdiction.
