211A. Application of sections 211B to 211J, etc.

General overview
[211A.01] Act No 15 of 2017 enacted s 211A which provides for the application of ss 211B–211J in respect of a compromise or an arrangement between a company and its creditors or any class of creditors only: s 211A(1). Section 211A(2) provides that ss 211B–211J shall apply concurrently with ss 210 and 211 except for the provisions in ss 211G, 211H and 211I. These provisions adapt parts of Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code; namely, automatic moratorium, rescue financing, cram down provisions, and pre-packs: see Singapore Parliamentary Debates, Official Report (March 10, 2017), 13th Parliament, 1st Session, Vol 94, No 43 on the Companies (Amendment) Bill.
