Name, ID #, address, and are they home now to see an officer to fill out paperwork.

What information do you need when someone calls in to be removed early from VHW? What do you do with that information?

Answer 3

Name, ID #, address, exact time and date to remove. It needs to be logged into CAD and passed onto the command officer &/or logged into VHW current list. Also, on our VHW page for them, place a sticky note with the date, time, ID of who called and and what is going on.

What needs to be added as a memo in CAD to a “VHW” call the officers have checked?

The # assigned to the house.

Can we take a VHW after the residents have left?

Answer 5

Yes. Dispatch should take the name, #, ID, and address of the caller. Call the command officer and let them know you have someone who has already left and ask who they want to assign to calling them back to get the paper filled out.
