Where can you find all the police information?
In your training book under “Police”.
At the end of each shift, what needs to be done with the camera log? Where does it go?
It needs to be photocopied with the building & incident shift log. Copies go in our Camera Log Sheets basket & the original camera log goes in the Police basket.
What are the time shifts that go on the camera log every day?
0730-1530; 1530-2330; 2330-0730
Name 2 places you need to add an officer when they come on duty?
In CAD & on the Camera Log sheet.
What do you tell someone who requests a copy of a Bradley police report?
BUPD does not provide copies of police reports outside of a court order. If a BU report is written as a PPD report, direct the person to PPD to file a Freedom Of Information Act request for the report. Direct questions to your BUPD shift commander
Where can students store weapons?
BUPD - they can call when they are at the station to pick them up or drop them off.
What is a NTA?
Notice to Appear - it means that you must appear in court on the date specified or at a date to be determined in the future.
What is a MOVN?
It is a Municipal Ordinance Violation. Officers will give this out for urinating in public, open alcohol, garbage left in yard, ect. It is a ticket. It comes with a fine.
What does it mean when city asks if a “runner” is coming?
Most businesses have a list of people to call to come in for an emergency. They are called runners.
What is the difference between “Code 1” & “Code 2”?
Code 1 is an emergency or life threatening - needs help immediately. Code 2 means that it is not an emergency and they do not need to rush. This is for both officers’ response and AMT.
Where can you find all of the Bradley University Police policies?
In the google drive and in the black binder on the counter behind the desks marked “Bradley University Police Department”.
Do officers help get cars out that are stuck in snow, or, shovel them out?
No. You can give them a number to a tow company. Or, you can let them know that if they come to MAC and leave their ID, we will let them borrow a shovel.
Do officers help push cars out of traffic?
No. If they feel unsafe where they are because traffic or area, you can send an officer over. Let the officer know you told them we do not push cars.
Do officers help change tires?
No, they do not. But, if the person is in traffic or afraid for their safety where they are, you can send an officer. If they ask, maybe the officer can walk someone through it.
How do you find out if we have towed a car?
Look in the Tow List book.
