Where are rescue assistance areas?
They are located in the BECC stairwells.
Why are they there?
They are there in case someone gets locked in a stairwell.
How does a rescue assistance call come in?
They come in on the emergency phone.
What information do we get from this call?
The recording will give the address, the floor location and then the stairwell #.
What has to be done after you get this information to reset the alarm?
You have to pick up the line & push the # key to reset the alarm.
What happens if you do not do this?
If you do not push the # key, it will tie up the entire system until it is reset at the main panel.
How many officers would you send?
2
How should you call this out to the officer?
Rescue Assistance Alarm, BECC, floor location, stairwell #.
Who resets the alarm?
We already reset the alarm when we picked up the line and pushed the # key.
