If someone finds and turns in a dorm key, how can you find out which student it belongs to?
Dorm Core Lists binder behind Jill’s desk to see which dorm and room the key goes to. Once we find out the dorm & room # we can go to the telephone directory & look up by dorm to see who is in that room.
What is the mailing address for students?
Student’s name, dorm & room #, dorm address, zip of 61606.
Where are Amazon packages delivered to for students in dorms?
The packages are delivered to MAC. Steve will then deliver them to the dorm office. If it comes in late, it will be delivered the next day.
What does dispatch do if a student calls or comes in after hours or weekends and says they received a message that their package was delivered?
They will have to wait for it to be delivered the next business day to the dorm. No one is allowed to retrieve a package from the back.
Where does UPS & USPS deliver their packages for students?
They are delivered to the dorm offices.
What do we do when someone from another delivery company (doordash, grubhub, Walmart, instacard) calls or shows up with a delivery?
We will try to get a hold of the person who ordered it. Tell the student to meet the delivery at the front door of the building. If no answer, tell the delivery person we can not accept it.
After business hours, who does dispatch call if they have a problem after hours or on the weekend in the dorms and send officers? (EX - medical issue, check welfare, drug or alcohol complaint in dorm, ect)

Do we need to call the on duty Hall Director if something happens with a student outside of a dorm?
No. Hall Directors are only responsible for things that happen inside the dorms.
If dispatch gets a complaint about low level noise complaints, minor drug related issues, minor alcohol complaints, or minor conduct issues, who should dispatch notify?
All calls should be directed to the on duty Hall Director and NOT student security.
Should a CAD call be entered for the call above?
Yes, a CAD entry must be entered. Use the disposition “Turned over to Hall Staff”.
What can we do immediately if someone calls after hours and has a mouse problem and we have no custodial on duty?
Transfer caller to custodial line to leave a voicemail so that American Pest can be notified, but also see if the student would like to have some glue boards in the meantime. There are some in work control above the weston desk and on the counter in a box on the back computer.
When is someone in the office at the dorms?
When school is in session, they usually have someone in the office in the evenings before student security starts.
Which phone do “Student Security” need to use to call on/off? Which line do they need to call to report on/off?
They need to call from the dorm office phone. They need to call the 2000 police line to check in/out.
What needs to be done if the student security cannot tap into the building for regular building assignments?
They need to come to MAC to get the temporary security key for that building. They then need to get a message to housing to get access applied to their card.
