When an officer calls in a traffic stop, what letter do you start with on the Console line? What follows that on the same line before hitting enter?

A

T followed the officer’s #, the address (or intersection) & then the license plate number (ex. T 220 1400 Fredonia/AV12345).

A

Note in CAD that the officer deferred or will advise on another officer.

How long after an officer is on a traffic stop should you ask if they are 10-4? What do you do with this information?

A

1 ½ to 2 minutes. Type in whatever the officer told you (ex 201 10-4 10-6).

When you enter a traffic stop on the Console line, why do you always have to go back to the google line to verify the address?

A

Notice that Peoria is not in the box under “Location” and “City” is blank. Until it says “Peoria”, the call is not google verified. So, you have to redo the address in google.
