KEY FILE CABINET Flashcards
Where can you find key cards that need to be filed?
In the OPEN/CLOSED baskets on top of the key/card filing cabinet. There can also be cards, with keys stapled to them (found on top of the card file cabinet, underneath the red key cabinet) that will need to be filed away.
What do the baskets “OPEN & CLOSED” mean? Where would you file each?
OPEN means that these students/faculty/employees still have keys out. OPEN get filed back in the file drawer under the red key cabinet. CLOSED means that the students/faculty/employees have turned in all of their keys &/or are no longer with Bradley University. CLOSED cards, with the last names starting with A-C, get filed in the black drawer at the end of the dispatch table (underneath the flip chart). The rest get filed in the key/card cabinet (by Jill’s printer) in the bottom of the cabinet.
Why should we write the “J” and “K” on the key envelopes?
“J” is for dorm and “K” is for academic. This way when Jayne is giving out keys she knows which to choose depending on the building she needs.
