LKCC Flashcards
Where can you find instructions for core changes?
In your training book and in the red emergency book under “Keys”.
Can a student come into MAC or call us themselves to request a new room key? Who needs to report a LKCC?
A student may NOT request the LKCC. The student must contact their RA who needs to call it in
Who fills out the LKCC form?
We will fill out the form.
What else needs to be filled out for a LKCC?
A work order in School Dude also needs to be done.
Where does the LKCC form go after it is filled out?
It will be placed behind the Weston computer in the top basket.
What does the locksmith do with the key after he cuts it?
The locksmith will cut the key and leave it with us at the desk. We will then attach it to the correct form behind the Weston computer.
How will the students know their core has been changed?
The locksmith will leave a little note on the students door stating their core has been changed and they need to go to MAC to get their new key.
Can a student who lost a dorm key pick up their roommates also? What happens if the roommate does not return their key?
No, the key must be signed for. They get charged - comes out of their housing deposit (student’s split the cost).
Where do you put the roommates’ old key they turn in?
In the key bucket, behind Weston, so it can be recycled.
What do you do with the 2nd new key if there is no roommate?
Send it to housing. Write or put a sticker on saying “Housing”. Place it in the
white basket on Jill’s desk where you place key cards that you check in or out keys.
Where does the form go after both roommates have picked up their keys?
In the LKCC basket, on top of Jill’s desk.
Do you do a LKCC if a student bends or breaks their dorm key?
An LKCC is not necessary for a bent or broken key. Just need a work order done for a new key to be cut. But, the old key has to be turned in. If not, a LKCC will be done and they will be charged.
