S2 to look up door history, directory/student schedule to see if they are in class.
How could it help if they have a vehicle?
If they have one on campus you can see if they have parking deck access and have swiped into one of them recently. Also, officers can be on the lookout if they have a description of the vehicle.
Why exactly is the complainant concerned about this person?
Has this person threatened to harm themselves or others? What exactly have they said to cause concern?
List 5 other questions you need to ask the caller?
(1) Where is the person they are concerned about or when did they last see/talk to them?
(2) What were they wearing and which direction did they go?
(3) If/How do they say how they were going to harm themselves?
(4) Does the complainant know if they have any weapons or a history?
(5) What is the relationship between the caller and subject?
What is another way you can find out information about a student?
Check students emergency information in Acinquire to determine if there’s history of depression, suicide, recommended providers, and sometimes epilepsy.
Why do you need to know where the complainant is?
An officer will likely need to follow up with the complainant for further information regarding the call.
