Where is the custodial OT chart located? Their phone numbers?
Flip chart - green tab labeled “Custodial Call In”. #’s are at the top of the list.
Where would you enter an OT call-in time for a custodian when they arrive? Depart time? What 2 needs to be clicked on?
In NOTES, enter the building they are coming in for, their name, type in “checking in/out for OT”, and click on BOTH the DS and the CUSTODIAL boxes.
When calling a custodian in for OT, how long in between calls do you have to wait?
5 minutes; if it’s an emergency keep calling down the list until you get what you need.
What is a good question to ask when someone calls in a spill or mess when there are no custodians on duty?
How would you describe the size of the spill, golf ball size, softball size, basketball size? Is it in the middle of the hall or along the side? Can the bathroom stall be locked with an out of order sign(if there are more than 1 stall)? Can it be covered with some paper towel(s)? Is it a hazardous chemical, blood, milk, soda/coffee, bodily fluid/vomit?

When calling a faculty member (ex. Plumber, locksmith), how long do you have to wait between calls?
5 minutes between calls.

In the BU Workorder Database, click on “Call-in”. In the bottom box, put the employees name in and fill in the “Reason” box (checking in/out for OT). The time & date will automatically fill itself in. This should be done when they arrive and when they leave.
Who determines who calls in someone for snow removal? Where would you record that information?
Jeremy. BU Work Database/Notes. Use the person telling you to call them in the employee name. In “Description” put in who you are to call in, what time you called them, and their response. Be sure to click on the DS box.
