युवां कोटिभागयोः

A

युवां कोटिभागयोः THE TEXT (SAME IN JHA AS IN B&K) IS RIGHT AND MAKES SENSE IF YOU REALIZE THAT कोटिभागयोः IS LOCATIVE CASE (AND NOT LOC ABS EITHER): SEE THE TRANSLATION IN B&K’S NOTE. THE SYNTAX HERE IS INVOLVED AND COMPLEX BUT IT DOES ADD UP:
“So let there be brought some stout rope or stick and let there be found a lake with much water so that (LOC ABS=>) with the middle part being grasped with teeth by me (<=LOC ABS) you two may lead/bring the stick, along with me (मया सहितम् ) , having grasped (it) AT BOTH END-PARTS (LOC.) to that lake.”
\
सहितम् +INSTR. = सह OR सार्धम् + INSTR. : ANOTHER WAY OF SAYING ‘with’
