Ramipril

A

ACE inhibitor given for hypertension and heart failure. Results in the increase in braykinin, which results in angioedema and dry cough. Cannot be given in pregnancy.

A

K+ sparing diruetic given for hypertension. It inhibits sodium reabsorption in the DCT, promoting Na+ and H20 loss while retaining K+ and H+.
