- Any person who is designated as a habitual violent felony offender, a violent career criminal, or a three-time violent felony offender under Florida State Statute (F.S.S.) 775.261 and who has been released from State sanctions after July 1, 2002
Career Offender
- Also known as Jessica’s Law, requires sexual predators and sexual offenders to re-register and verify the information required by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). Sexual predators and sexual offenders will be re-registered ______________ (according to their birth month).

- Also known as the Jimmy Ryce Act. The law establishes procedures for reviewing and litigating an involuntary civil commitment of an individual determined to be a sexually-violent predator.

- An individual adjudicated as a delinquent juvenile under the provisions of F.S.S. 985.4815. Juvenile sexual offenders have the same requirements for notification and registration as adult sexual offenders. Juvenile sexual offenders may be arrested for violations pertaining to these statutes
Juvenile Sexual Offender
- A place where the career offender routinely abides, resides, or lodges for a period of four or more consecutive or non-consecutive days in any month, or resides for a period of 14 or more days in the aggregate during any calendar year. It also includes housing for career offender whose permanent residence is not in this state or is enrolled as a student for any period of time
Temporary Residence (Career Offender)
- A place where the person abides, lodges, or resides, including, but not limited to, vacation, business, or personal travel destinations in or out of Florida, for a period of three or more days in the aggregate during any calendar year and which is not the person’s permanent address or, for a person whose permanent residence is not in Florida, a place where the person is employed, practices a vocation, or is enrolled as a student for any period of time in Florida.
Temporary Residence (Sexual Predator or Sexual Offender
All sexual offenders residing in Florida will be required to have a Florida driver’s license or identification card with the ____________ imprinted on the front of the card at the time of issuance, reissuance, or renewal. “General Delivery”

If the career offender intends to establish residency in another state, they are required to report in person to the JSO Felony Registration Unit, 1024 Superior Street within ______________ before they intend to leave the state and provide the address, municipality, county, and state of intended residence. Call Out Procedures
- Officers who encounter a sexual predator, sexual offender or career offender who may be in violation of their requirements (i.e., registration, correct address on driver’s license, etc.) shall contact an ___________during office hours for guidance. After work hours, with a supervisor’s approval, officers shall contact the on-call OTU supervisor through the Investigative PECO.
- An OTU supervisor shall be notified through the Investigative PECO ________ ANY enforcement action of City of Jacksonville (COJ) Municipal Ordinance (MO) Chapter 685, Sexual Offender and Sexual Predator Regulation.
