Das ganze Jahr freue ich mich auf den Sommerurlaub. Ich mag Abenteuerurlaub nicht so sehr. Lieber liege ich am Hotelpool, lerne nette Leute kennen und bräune mich. Geht dir das auch so?

Der Urlaub ist die schönste Zeit des Jahres. Endlich kann man ausschlafen und Sonne tanken. Die gut organisierten Deutschen planen schon früh, wohin sie fahren. Sie hoffen, dass sie einen guten Frühbucher-Rabatt bekommen: Je früher man bucht, desto weniger zahlt man für die Übernachtungen in den beliebten Ferienorten in der Türkei, Ägypten oder Spanien. Vor allem nach Mallorca fahren viele deutsche Urlauber gern. Sie mögen die All-inclusive-Hotels, in denen man essen und trinken kann, so viel man will.
Vacation is the best time of the year. You can finally sleep in and soak up the sun. The well-organized Germans plan early on where to go. They hope that they will get a good early bird discount: the earlier you book, the less you pay for overnight stays in the popular holiday resorts in Turkey, Egypt or Spain. Many German holidaymakers especially like to travel to Mallorca. They like the all-inclusive hotels, where to eat and drink as much as you want.
Aber immer mehr junge Leute wollen keinen fertig geplanten Urlaub. Sie wollen sich nicht am Frühstücksbuffet streiten oder ihre Liege am Hotelpool morgens um sechs reservieren. Sie buchen nur einen Flug und reisen mit ihrem Rucksack durch das Land. Thailand, generell Südostasien, Südamerika, Neuseeland und Australien sind bei den Backpackern besonders beliebt.
But more and more young people do not want a ready-made vacation. You don’t want to argue at the breakfast buffet or reserve your lounger by the hotel pool at six in the morning. You just book one flight and travel across the country with your backpack. Thailand, generally Southeast Asia, South America, New Zealand and Australia are particularly popular with backpackers.
