How do we use the extinguisher & what is the waiting time after it’s applied?

Describe the various Security dogs
Watch: trained to bark, but not attack
Attack: attack anyone except their trainer
Command: attack only on command of trainer. These dogs react to their training rather than instincts
Are House dogs dangerous
Can be just as dangerous as professionally trained dogs. Loud/threatening gestures can intimidate them
What can be used to keep dogs back?
Water or CO2 extinguisher; Chair or tool for dog to bite on. As a backup use a hoseline
What if a dog bites a member “Each Pooch Bites My Cock”
EMS, PD, Board of Health, Medical Officer, Center for Animal Care- if dog is stray
NOTE: Pitbulls attack spontaneously, eye contact causes pit bulls to attack, use 2 1/2 can in their face if needed

In any case where foam rubber furniture or bedding has been involved in fire- what’s done
HL stretched to apply sufficient water for complete extinguishment, roll them up, & tie tightly w/rope or wire when removing, cut foam into smaller pieces & place in a tub/sink of water
Lexan has impact resistance _X’s greater than safety glass, will not shatter, _ the weight of glass, & _ thermal conductivity of glass
250 times, 1/2 weight, 1/3 conductivity
Preferred way to cut Lexan Window
Portable Power saw w/carbide tipped blade, Sawzall w/coarse tooth wood blade also works (slower than saw), Portable electric hand saw be used, but wood cutting blade tends to gum up quickly
Which tools are ineffective on Lexan windows
Superior air hammer (air chisel), Torch, Pike axe, Chain saw
Can PL be used to push Lexan Window inward
Yes on ground level or lower- have 3 or 4 FF’s apply pressure w/PL pushing inward
