Upon arrival on floor below the fire- contact ICP on Command Ch via Post Radio to verify it’s in place & give your location. Next use the HT to announce to units that a communication link w/ICP has been established
How long does the 2nd Eng Off remain the communication link w/ICP
Until relieved by 2nd BC who will est. the Fire Sector & become the Fire Sector Supervisor
What if the 1st due BC is delayed in his arrival, and the 1st & 2nd Eng have already arrived to the scene and are ascending to the upper floors- who takes the Post Radio now?
Upon arrival, the 1st BC will give the Post Radio to the FF operating the elevators in Firemen Service. Upon arrival of 2 floors below the fire floor- the Elevator Operator FF will contact 2nd Eng Off who will ensure the Post Radio is obtained
What should a unit do if the IC is contacting them on the HT, but they cannot reach the IC due to signal strength of their HT
Relay message to IC via Sector, Branch, or Group under which they are operating
Where is the Post Radio taken?
2nd Eng Off will take Post Radio & report w/his company to their normal location- vicinity of standpipe outlet from which 1st HL is being stretched
