Rappel hook- open gate & place open hook via both shoulder straps starting with (left/right) 1st.
Back facing toward direction of removal prior to packaging process
Left then right. Prevents twisting of handle
10-66 Transmission all unit other than Rescue, Squad, SSL, FAST Unit, & CFR Eng report
Report & remain at Staging Area until ordered to scene (supervised by Staging Area Manager)

Can Portable Ladders placed on fire bldgs be moved for any reason?
Only in life threatening situations & notifications made to members operating in that area
The preferred Low Pressure method
Position down FF on their (left/right) side to access name on coat, PRA ID (unless spare), HT ID
Use downed FF facepiece- better seal/size
Right side- helmet frontpiece could be another clue (but may not be working in that unit)

No, but do NOT include name/unit of FF affected. All add’l info shall be mixer off w/full description via dept radio. Telephone Boro Dispatcher w/full particulars & FDOC
If Channel 16 is implemented how does this affect the FAST Unit?
FAST Unit turns to channel 16, but EFAS FAST FF monitors FAST radio on Ch 1 & if Cmd Ch put in effect another FF must monitor this channel

4 FF Eng: Off & 1 FF enter IDLH for search without HL advancement & 2 FFs are Safety Team,
OR take Defense position.

Does the EFAS FF leave BC rig if FAST Unit is put to work?
No stays in BC rig monitoring EFAS

In addition to normal tools, what else should FAST Truck report in to the ICP? “B-FAST Pal”

Are HT or other electronic communication devices acceptable to replace visual or voice contact?
NOT acceptable. At least one of the members of the team within the IDLH must have an HT & must be able to contact an HT equipped member of the Safety Team outside of the IDLH
Can an individual member enter an IDLH?
If a known life hazard is discovered & immediate action could prevent the loss of life, appropriate action (rescue activity) may be taken by an individual member. This applies only for Known life hazard (NOT standard search & rescue activity)
