The 1st & 2nd Eng to arrive at a structural fire shall act in concert to get the 1st line into operation unless _

Members detailed to a quarters w/in _ may walk as a mode of travel
Any Unit responding w/less than 4 FF’s must notify Dispatcher

5th FF from Lad from another Division (Staff Chief approval req’d)
Units staffed w/an Off & min of _ FF’s while awaiting ordered details shall respond to all alarms. Units w/only an Officer & _ shall be placed OOS, but shall respond to Verbal alarms received in qtrs.
2 FF’s (at least one of which must be a Chauffeur); Off & Chauffeur OOS (may be detailed to fill vacancies in other quarters for remainder of tour)
Officer shall ensure _ notified anytime a change in Unit staffing levels

What shall be done if an Understaffed Engine or Lad is the only unit on scene
An Engine stretching a HL can stretch how far if taking a defensive position
Take Defensive position, unless Known life hazard found (NOT standard search & rescue)
Outside of IDLH
Add’l Lad Company (above the FAST Truck) shall be assigned to 10-75 when both initial assigned Lad Cos respond w/4FF’s. Who is FAST Truck
The additional Ladder Company shall be 3rd Ladder & 4th Ladder shall be FAST Unit
After the 1st HL stretched, can the 2nd Eng detach
Not unless otherwise assigned by IC
PD fire- 1st two Lad are responding with 4 FFs: Correct
A. Additional Lad will be dispatched immediately while units are still responding. If 10-75 transmitted the 4th Lad will be dispatched as FAST Unit
B. If 10-75 transmitted, a 3rd & 4th Lad will be dispatched. 4th Lad will be FAST Unit

Incorrect for RSOT
A. Each FF, except for Proby FFs in their 1st 6 months of employment, & LD FFs are entitled to work 96 hrs of RSOT
B. MX of these tours will only be permitted if the exchange is completed within 30 days
C. Once the tour is mutually exchanged, it may not be mutually exchanged again
D. FFs on RSOT working in a unit w/excess staffing shall be detailed, unless such FFs have special training needed to maintain an effective unit
A Terminal leave FFs
HMTU Engine shall start each tour w/at least _ trained tech II members

Officer shall determine which outside position is staffed based on Unit’s response area. Off may reassign the position if the necessity exists.
Emergency Roll call: answer as position assigned at start of tour (not temp position assigned at the box)
When notified that a company is responding understaffed, the Dispatcher shall special call another unit (Engine for Engine & Lad for Lad) to respond in addition to understaffed unit. 1st Alarm response shall not exceed _
4 Eng & 4 Lad Companies
When a Unit has less than full strength for the remainder of the tour, the Off shall notify _
Admin Division, Battalion, & all 1st alarm companies of any positions not staffed, and record an entry in Company Journal
