What are the main features of corn, callus and bunion?
A
Corn and callus caused by repeated minor friction. (Thickened skin on tops of toes, heels, ball of foot)
Bunion: joint displacement in big toe
Painful and inflamed in turning of big toes.

What are the tx options for corn, callus and bunion?
A
Corn plasters/paints (Carnation and Scholl ranges) high concentration of salicylic acid 40% or more.

What counselling is given for corn, callus and bunion?
A
Avoid ill fitting shoes
Don’t use these preparations if aspirin-sensitive.

What symptoms warrant a referral for corn, callus and bunion?
A
People with diabetics
Bunion disability
< 15 yrs
