What is the main difference between Domperidone and Metoclopramide? (1)
A
Doesn’t cause central effects e.g. sedation and dystonic reactions as it doesn’t readily cross BBB.

What are the risks associated with using Domperidone as tx? (3)
A
High risk of serious ventricular arrhythmias or sudden cardiac death.
- Higher risk in px >= 60 yrs.
- Px receiving daily oral doses of > 30mg.

Which px should not take Domperidone? (1)
A
Concomitant medication known to cause QT prolongation e.g. Ketoconazole, Erythromycin.
