What are the common symptoms of teething? (8)
A
Pain
Swollen gums
Red, hot cheeks
Excessive dribbling
Nappy Rash
Changes to sleeping pattern
Appetite increased (tendency to chew objects/hands)
General irritability
Sleep loss can occur for baby and parents.

What is the first line tx for teething? (2)
A
Paracetamol/Ibuprofen suspensions
2nd line: Topical teething gels (local anaesthetics) e.g. Lidocaine (Anbesol)
