Dihydropyridine CCB relaxes smooth muscle and dilates coronary/peripheral arteries.
What is the licensed use for Amlodipine? (1)
Hypertension
Angina Prophylaxis
What is the main interaction with Amlodipine? (1)
Grapefruit juice increases plasma conc of Felodipine, Isradipine, Lacidipine, Lercanidipine, Nicardipine, Nifedepine , Nimodipine, Nisoldipine, Verapamil.
What is the common s/e of Amlodipine? (1)
Ankle swelling (Amlodipine 10mg)
Give e.g. of dihyropyridine CCB. (6)

What condition would you avoid giving verapamil + Diltiazem on tx? (1)
HF as it can further depress cardiac function.
