A
Viral infection causing a bright red rash on the cheeks.
Mild symptoms develop 4-14 days after becoming infected.

What are the common symptoms of slapped cheek syndrome? (8)
A
Slight fever (38 degrees)
Runny nose
Sore Throat
Headache
Upset stomach
Feeling generally unwell
Adults = joint aches.
Distinctive bright red rash on both cheeks (slapped cheeks)
Virus not contagious once rash appears.
