A

Rx complies with the 10 particulars.
Rxer’s address is in the UK.
Supplier is acquainted with Rxer’s signature and has no reason for it to be not genuine. (AES accepted if EPS is used)
Before date specified on Rx
Later than 28 days from the appropriate date.
Good practice to not give > 30 days supply.

Explain the expiry of a CD prescription. (5)

A

Rx can’t be dispensed 28 days after the appropriate date.
A start date may be specified on the Rx in which the Rx validity may start later.
Dispensing date on Rx = legal requirement.
An instalment direction must be marked with each date of dispensing on the right side of the FP10MDA Rx.
Full quantity must be supplied within the Rx’s validity.
