strep pyogenes/GAS - antigens may cause…? 6 things
erythema nodosum, erythema multiforme, vasculitis, glomerulonephritis, rheumatic fever, guttate psoriasis
strep pyogenes/GAS - mgmt
topical not recommended
oral - amox, penicillin, erythro if allergic
iv - benzylpenicillin
pseudomonas - colonises where? infection can cause..? only considered pathogenic if..?
colonises moist areas
can cause green skin
only if broken skin
pseudomonas - possible disease (3)
infection of wounds, leg ulcers
paronychia +/- toe web space infection
gram -ve folliculitis (jacuzzi dermatitis)
