SCC AK IEC - stratum spinosum (mid epidermis)

UV fair skin increasing age immsuppression chronic inflam, wounds, scars HPV (SCC)
genetic - gorlins (BCC), xeroderma pigmentosum
Basal cell carcinoma - % of SC’s? ass w usually? symptoms? growth rate? rarely what? is locally what?
80% of skin cancers UV exposure slow growing, aSx rarely metastasise is locally invasive

nodular
superficial
morphoeic
pigmented
Morphoeic - describe
sclerosing BCC
waxy, skin coloured/scar like
Pigmented -describe
brown/grey/blue
may appear like melanoma

pink/red scaly, irregular plaques
poss rolled edge, ulceration, telangiectasia

most common on face
small,dome shaped/round, shiny, pinkish./skin col papule/nodule, pearly look (esp if pull skin)

spontaneous bleeding, rolled edge
central ulceration, telangiectasia
