maternal blood tests eg PAPP-A
Early Pregnancy Surveillance
Blood tests: ????-A = ?
hormone, level reduced in ?trim w ? abnormalities. Use in ? screening.
Maternal uterine aa Doppler: Uterine circ has v ? resistance in normal preg. Abnormal wave form at ?wks suggest failure of this, and identifies ?% pregs at risk of adverse neonatal outcomes in early ?rd trim, esp early ?, IUGR or ?.
These tests not universal but can be invaluable esp in combination.
Integrated screening for preg risk: Combo of different RFs to incr ?. So factors in Hx and invx can be used to ID more ? ? women

6 methods of fetal surveillance
USS - fetal growth Doppler umb a waveforms doppler waveforms of fetal circulation USS - biophysical profile, liquor volume CTG/non-stress test Kick chart
these tests are not ? in low risk pregs - cornerstone of ID of ? or compromised fetus is serial measurement of ? ? and other aspects of ANC
