What is this drug used for?
A
Primary brain malignancies, graft-versus-host disease, Crohn’s disease, Kaposi’s sarcoma, HIV-wasting syndrome, leprosy, stomatitis, Mycobacterium infectsion, and multiple myeloma.
Off-label: SLE and renal cell cancer

What is the pregnancy category?
A
X; It was infamous for fetal malformations in pregnant women in the 1950s

What are the adverse effects?
A
Teratogensis, thromboembolic disease, drowsiness, and peripheral neuropathy.

What is the black box warning?
A
Teratogenic (congenital malformations are produced in an embryo or fetus) effects and high risk of thromboembolic events occurring during therapy
