Drug interactions

A

colestipol, calcium or aluminum antacids, sucralfate, and iron supplements= decrease absorption
pheytoin, caramazepine, rifampin, phenobarbital, and sertraline= increased metabolism
increases bleeding risk with warfarin
digoxin= decreases effectiveness

Herbal/food interactions

A

soybean flower, cottenseed meal, walnuts, and dietary fiber= decreased absorption
Calcium or iron supplements should be take at least 4 hours after to prevent interference with drug absorption.

A

circulating thyroid hormone with antithyroid drugs decreasing sympathetic stimulation with corticosteroid and beta-adrenergic blockers
