Therapeutic effects and uses
reduce IOP by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor for patients with open-angle glaucoma and ocular HTN. It is recommended dose is one drop in the affected eyes in the evening. It is used to treat open-angle glaucoma
Mechanism of action
Reduces elevated IOP in patients with open-angle glaucoma.

Adverse effects
conjunctival edema, tearing, dryness, burning, pain, irritation, itching, sensation of a foreign body in the eye, photophobia, or visual disturbances.
Contraindications/Precautions
Contraindications: hypersensitivity, pregnancy lactation, intraocular infection, or conjunctivitis
Drug interactions
If used with other eyedrops that contain thimerosal, precipitation may occur
